A Norwich climber astounded mountain rescuers after he turned up to a charity event just a day after he fell 10 metres from a climb and was airlifted to hospital. . The 24-year-old was the lead climber on a route at the Roaches, on Sunday, May 6. He fell about ten metres, hitting the cliff wall on his way down, after part of his rope system had failed. Derbyshire Dales District Council’s free independent business advice service has been extended after helping 60 businesses and helping to create 23 jobs since its launch four months ago. Derbyshire Dales Business Advice was funded by the district council initially for six months, but the contract for professional business adviser Heather Bradford has now been extended to the end of March next year. The banks of the Tissington and High Peak trails in the Peak District National Park are blooming with wildflowers thanks to help from SITA Trust.    A grant of £25,000 last year enabled the Peak District National Park Authority, which owns the trails, to introduce sheep grazing on cuttings at Fenny Bentley and Parsley Hay.
