National park residents in Cheshire and Staffordshire are being invited to meet members and senior officers of the Peak District National Park Authority.

The meeting is an opportunity for residents to take part in a discussion about community led planning, before an open forum is held where parish councillors and members of the public can ask questions on any issue relating to the work of the authority.

The event will take place at 7pm on Wednesday 1 February and will be held in Rainow Primary School in Round Meadow, Rainow, SK10 5UB.

Among the people that residents can meet are the chair of the authority Tony Favell, chief executive Jim Dixon and the members who represent the Cheshire and Staffordshire parts of the national park.

Tony Favell, chair of the Peak District National Park Authority, said: “We are keen for members of the authority to have more opportunities to meet with residents to discuss issues in our communities.

“We have invited representatives of all the parish councils in the Cheshire and Staffordshire parts of the national park to attend and are also keen for any members of the public to come along as well.

“If this evening proves successful then we hope to carry out similar events in other parts of the national park in the future.”
